The Science Behind the Stories
What do “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, “Blueberries for Sal” , and “Caps for Sale” have in common? Of course they are all favorite children’s books, abut they also form the basis for some great science questions. Just how much COULD a caterpillar eat? DO bears eat Blueberries? How many caps COULD a person actually carry on their head?
Using beloved stories as a starting point, we will ask questions and conduct experiments to find the answers.
The Workshop will be held in the Sonderegger Science Center on the Edgewood College Campus. The science center is a K-16 building that serves science students of all ages. 1000 Edgewood College drive, Madison, WI
