Seven Wonders of Wingra

What?
An exciting, outdoor-based and hands-on summer science camp for students entering grades 4-6 in the fall. Come explore the Seven Wonders of Wingra! During our week together, we will be interacting with and appreciating Lake Wingra and the surrounding Edgewood Campus. Some highlights of our week-long camp will include a tour of the rain gardens in the Mazzuchelli Biological Field Station, a boating trip around Lake Wingra, a GPS investigation of the Edgewood Campus, an expedition to some of the mounds and springs surrounding Lake Wingra, making Winnebago-inspired crafts, a chance to create a Google Presentation about Lake Wingra using data we collect during camp and much more! This week-long summer camp is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the history and natural beauty of Lake Wingra, and enjoy a great spot in Madison, Wisconsin.

For their safety, it is important that each student wears comfortable clothing (which may get a bit dirty) and closed-toe shoes. Sunscreen, a hat and a water bottle are also recommended. Additional safety equipment (such as goggles) will be provided by the college, should the need arise. On the final day of camp, we will hold our Research Symposium where students will present their Google Presentations. Parents are invited to attend this session starting at 1 o' clock on Friday, July 22.
