Mix it Up - Chemistry I

Come learn all about the weird and wonderful world of Chemistry in this hands-on experience. Learn about the different types of chemical reactions and predict what will happen when you mix chemicals, explore polymer chemistry and the science of smells, discover the exciting science of food, and examine the extraordinary chemistry of ordinary things. Students will learn basic chemical principles in the context of performing investigations in a chemistry laboratory. Some fundamental calculations will be introduced to help students understand the quantitative nature of chemistry, as well as the qualitative.

Eric Pantano has taught high school Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and Advanced Placement Chemistry for 27 years, and is currently teaching at Edgewood High School. He has a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S.T. in Secondary Science Education from Boston College.
